Thanks to their Wheels and Wishes fund, AJ's completed some crucial maintenance on Com 1. A safety inspection, new steering tie rod, fluid flush, and shocks are some of the big items they fixed.
Stores across Marion, Polk, and Linn counties joined together to donate 6 new traction tires for Com 1. Plus a couple of spares! An incredible feat since Com 1 has non-standard tire sizes.
Another contributor to our Com 3 project; Al's Trailer Sales donated the weight distribution hitch necessary to tow the trailer.
OHSU donated a used Motorola radio with digital (DMR) capability. This helps SARCOM expand our communications capabilities into the digital world.
Every year, our members organize the RV parking at this event and receive a donation in return.
During a search operation in 2017, Com 1 was damaged in a minor collision on the return trip home. Traditional Auto Body donated their work to repair the damage.
